Dionysis
Gods! You scored 49!

You are most like the God Dionysis! Dionysis is the god of wine, intoxication and creative ecstacy. In short, a party god! He was often having drunken orgies with both men and women, as well as with helpless maidens his centaurs would carry off for him. he had a large following of women who had fallen into a frenzy or "mania". These women were taken by a madness that compelled them to run around in a craze and often times become violent. Many of these frenzied outbursts had a strong sexual content. Just don't forget while having all this fun that there is more to life than getting off!

Hmmmmmmm... last time I did a test like that I was Venus. Since when was I a violent, sex-crazed maniac???? Sigh.

Welcome to the world of Faerie.

I've discovered Faerie. And magic. I've discovered, I LIKE fantasy.

The only fantasy I ever read in my younger days was Dragonlance, and even that was a brief affair. But thanks to Neil Gaiman's Stardust (thanks to Nick) as well as The Chronicles of Narnia, I think the fantasy world just got itself a new fan.

I never really considered Harry Potter fantasy. (Movie 4 is out today woohoo! I'll catch it soon, right after I watch the first three again.) HP was always a good read but it was more of an entertaining adventure thingy for me. But Narnia... that's fantasy. Can you believe I never even heard of Narnia when I was a kid? I feel like I missed out on so much! Oh well, making up for lost time now ;) I can't get enough of it, honestly. I think I want to live there.

Let's talk about Stardust. Neil Gaiman is, in a word, brilliant. I don't know how he does it, but he ties everything together so seamlessly (like magic!) I can't help cheering. I laughed out loud in the last few pages of Stardust... he just brought it all together so well. I love the way he writes, it's so... normal. I mean, he makes it sound normal. And that's amazing.

I want to live there too.

Which explains the fairy princess/gypsy girl-inspired looks I've been sporting lately, to work, no less. I just got a new haircut, courtesy of Mom, and I totally love it. I think it's gorgeous. Maybe because it makes me look elfin. Or nymph-like. Or something. At least, I'd like it to. I hope it does. Sigh. Now I'm wishing I lived in Faerie and something exciting and romantic would happen to me. Sigh. Sigh. Sigh.

Guess I'm still a kid at heart. But you knew that already.

Literati and C. S. Lewis

Playing Literati online with Greg. I think I've got him hooked on it. So far I've beaten him, but he's learning. Yay!!!!! I think it's awesome that we can play this game together. It's so fun. I only hope he remembers to study.

Anyway. Got new books today. Bought four from the second-hand bookstore in Holland V. Three Agatha Christies and a C. S. Lewis - The Magician's Nephew, first book in The Chronicles of Narnia. Piqued by the trailers for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, so I looked it up online. Apparently that's the second of a series of seven books. Thought I'd check out the first book at least, if the store had it. It did (it had a whole box set, very prettily packaged. I'm still tempted.) so I got Book One. It's great! I'm almost done already. Somewhat reluctant to finish it now cos I probably won't be able to get Book Two till next week at least (I'm spending too much... sigh. 31 bucks on books today! As if I didn't have enough to read already.) Can't believe I never discovered it before. I want the rest!!!!! Even if it IS written for kids, or at least reads that way. Haha. Can you say early Christmas present?

Argh it's late and I'm still up. Sigh. So much for early to bed. Night!
Just call me Kermit.

You Are A: Frog!

froggyIndependent yet still part of a large community, frogs are unique creatures known for their distinctive sound and ability to hop. As a frog, you spend your days sitting on lily pads or climbing trees, searching for delicious insects to eat. While there are some frogs that aren't exactly cute, you are certainly not one of those!

You were almost a: Kitten or a Duckling
You are least like a: Turtle or a LambCute Animal Test!

Got this quiz off Wai's blog. I'm a frog?????? I'm sad now. I mean, that's not even cute! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....
Oops I did it again!

I mean the test.

Your Ideal Relationship is Marriage

You've dated enough to know what you want.
And that's marriage - with the right person.
You're serious about settling down some time soon.
Even if you haven't met the person you want to get hitched to!

Marry me? Sigh.

Your Ideal Relationship is Serious Dating

You're not ready to go walking down the aisle.
But you may be ready in a couple of years.
You prefer to date one on one, with a commitment.
And while chemistry is important, so is compatibility.

Apparently I'm not ready for marriage yet. But maybe in a couple of years. Big whoop. I was aiming for next year. Or sooner. Oh well. Who knows? Relationships are tricky things.

Then again, this 'test' was only 5 questions, so...
