Here with me

The weekend was busybusybusybusybusy! Whoooooo. I feel like I need another weekend to recover from it.

Slept in late on Saturday (planned to run in the morning but I was sooo tired), spent the rest of the day mostly with Lionel - we checked out the Sports and Fitness Expo at Suntec with his sis and mum, he had a quick band practice while I went home ostensibly to do housework but really to do nothing very much (I tried, I just didn't have time!) and then we met up at The Cathay for dinner and the Minted's gig at Ben and Jerry's. I think it went much better than the last time. Check out some of the songs here. I'll put the actual vids up when I have time. They're not very well taken though, I don't have Far's vid-taking/editing skills! Next time maybe I'll walk around.

My parents came to watch the gig. I think Lionel was a little stressed to see them haha. They were pretty impressed though, especially when he sang his own composition Break (which was so emotional - at least for me) and when he played the keyboards for Boston. My dad was like, "He's multi-talented!" And I was like, "Yup, isn't he?" Haha. Love you babe! Looking forward to more gigs. Oh yeah.... forever and ever babe ;)

Sunday morning was spent traipsing around Marine Parade with Dad, Lionel and other smiley folk hunting for answers in a short, easy version of The Amazing Race, organised by Touch Diabetes Society, to raise awareness about diabetes and promoting exercise as a means to control it. It was pretty fun, and much more relaxing than expected - Lionel and I were expecting to do a lot more running around - and came dressed accordingly. Haha.

After that Dad treated us to lunch at The Food Haven at Singapore Poly, then home for a quick shower and nap (for Lionel) and mucho housework (for me). I barely had time to shower before I had to rush back to Lionel's so his dad could send us to church for the evening service. Whoooo! I'm just glad I didn't doze off during the sermon...

Then dinner at Lionel's, shopping at Big Bookshop, and back for Boggle, A-ha! and mahjong cards with Lionel and his little sis Rachel. We had much fun haha... though we totally failed at hiding the bak kwa from Lionel's dad. Hahahahaha.

I miss the weekend.
